Coorg or Kodagu is one of the most famous hill stations in India. nicknamed as “Kashmir of South”,”Switzerland of India”, etc.

Summers March to May: are pleasant with maximum temperature not crossing 28 C. SRIRANGAPATNA

Srirangapatna, previously Seringapatam in British English, is a town and is the headquarters of one of the seven Taluks of Mandya district, in the Indian State of Karnataka. Located near the city of Mandya, it is of religious, cultural and historic importance.The monuments on the island town of Srirangapatna have been nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the application is pending on the tentative list of UNESCO.

LOCATION

Although situated only 15 km (9.3 mi) from Mysore city, Srirangapatna lies in the neighbouring district of Mandya. The entire town is enclosed by the river Kaveri to form a river island. While the main river flows on the eastern side of the island, the Paschima Vaahini segment of the same river flows to its west. The town is easily accessible by train from Bengaluru and Mysore and is also well-connected by road, lying as it does just off the Bangalore-Mysore National Highway 275. The highway passes through this town and special care was taken to minimize any impact on the monuments.

1. Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary
The first national park in South India, Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary was founded in 1940 and was declared a tiger reserve. Situated amidst the picturesque Nilgiri ranges, the national park is a treat for nature lovers as it comprises unique topography of tropical moist deciduous, tropical dry deciduous and southern tropical dry thorn forest. 2. Maravakandy Dam

3. Moyar River
